Abso-bloody-lutely.
Blood’s already been spilled in this conflict, this clash between Voldemort and Golden Boy Potter. It’ll take blood to end it all. Ogun will demand it. With whispers going around about prophecies and quests and soul-splitting, there is nothing else for it. Especially if the last is true, if Voldemort really has created a number of Horcruxes that must be destroyed before Potter can kill him once and for all, then it is not matter of ‘if’ , but of ‘when.’ The Horcruxes are created by taking a human life and they must also be destroyed likewise. It could be slow, it could be fast, but for each Horcrux that must be eliminated, someone else will die. If Voldemort is the sadistic megalomaniac that he seems to act like, then just getting through to the Horcruxes would require human life, at the very least, blood.
But getting back to the subject at hand, yes, I would kill a member of my own species. There are some people in this world that would serve it better by leaving it.
