Do I believe in ghosts?
Yes.
There is ample enough proof that ghosts exist in the Wizarding World. Hogwarts has several ghosts residing in its walls. The House ghosts, even Binns, the History of Magic were all proof enough to satisfy even the most skeptical of disbelievers.
Those are just the visible ghosts. There are also the ghosts of old memories come to haunt, memories of people long gone, of things left undone, of things said and left unsaid. I knew a man once that claimed that ghosts were nothing more than just residual human emotion that had somehow left its imprint on the world. That that’s where the Muggles got their idea of déjà vu, from feeling traces of that residual energy. He said that all that was left for us to do was to learn to live with them. I never saw him again after that night, but I’ve never forgotten what he said.
