My mother is not like other mothers.

She is a rich, beautiful Pureblooded witch that's been widowed several times over. She's also a devotee of Baron Samedi. The last is not something she advertises to our particular social circles, at least it used to be something that she didn't advertise. Ever since Voldemort found out about my mother's particular gifts, he's had her slaving over huge cauldron, working her magic to create batches of Inferi for him. She has bastardized the gifts she was born with in order to please a half-blooded megalogmaniac. All she cares about is her next husband, she enjoys the chase and even the actual marriage ceremonies and all, then after a certain point she tires of them and they have "accidents." Mother mourns and then the cycle begins all over again.

It didn't use to be like that. There was laughter and love when Papa Zabini was still alive. There were hugs and bedtime stories. But then he died unexpectedly and Mother changed.
